Trevor Blackmer
Nextant Pilot – Tennessee
Partnerships are among the most productive business arrangements, and Trevor Blackmer knows he has a partner with JetPro Pilots.
Tennessee-based Trevor has worked as an on-demand pilot for JetPro and its JetPro Trip program since 2022. Though he holds 10 type ratings, he has flown Nextant/Beechjet/Hawker BE-400 aircraft most of that time, and continues to enjoy steady assignments. His JetPro connection has brought him trips from clients in Miami, the Pacific Northwest, Texas, and Kentucky. His personal contacts in the corporate aviation world have, in turn, helped JetPro Trip respond to its clients when Trevor is not able to do so.
“Trevor works with a small group of Nextant pilots he will contact if we have an assignment,” JetPro Pilots COO Jason Wardwell says of the arrangement, forged over the past three years. “He always is quick to respond, has a great attitude, and does the right thing for JetPro and our clients, who keep having him back.”
In a recent interview, Trevor said he is very comfortable referring fellow fliers to JetPro.
“JetPro Trip is well-organized and provides everything a pilot needs to properly execute on a trip,” he said. “Since I’m no longer flying full-time, I’ve become part of a group that includes four retired airline pilots. If I can’t respond to a JetPro call, I’m happy to refer them to JetPro, and it is something that has worked well for all concerned.“
Each of these pilots are referred by Trevor but are on-boarded directly by JetPro, allowing them the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of fast payroll, worker’s comp insurance, and access to other JetPro clients who may need a pilot.
Trevor no longer flies full-time because he spends much of his time in aircraft sales in a territory that covers most of the eastern U.S. That keeps him in the air about 300 hours a year, while the other pilots in his network pick up trips for JetPro as needed.
“’If you’re available, we have a trip.’ That works very well if you have another job, like I do,” he says of the Trip model.
“Trevor continues to provide consistency and professionalism,” Wardwell concludes. “We appreciate him for representing JetPro so well.”
